In the streets of Paris with a book

To mark the 2024 Olympic celebrations in Paris, Headspace is launching Cèdre. A meeting between a favorite wood of perfumery, rarely used in single-note packaging, and a flame headspace, to illustrate the lighting of Paris, the City of Lights.

The flame, finally arrived from Mount Olympus for the celebrations, ignites the wood of the match as one might attack a forgotten book, miraculously unearthed at a bookseller's. We stroll upstream along the Seine, "a river framed by two rows of books," as Cendrars wrote, carrying with us the scent of paper and the aroma of words. As the streetlights come on and night falls on the City of Lights, wisps of wood deposit their smoke in the bottle.

A flurry of dry wood flies up in swirls, enlivened by the shimmer of nutmeg and cumin, before meeting a headspace of flame in an amber and vanilla crackle.

A modern and unfussy woody fragrance that showcases two varieties of cedar: Atlas, for its resinous and leathery facets, and Virginia, for its dry and spicy facets, reminiscent of a pencil.
